Dade County Public Records

Every single resident of Dade County has vital records kept on them. In fact, the authorities in Dade County are tasked with collecting some vital records themselves. These vital records can include birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce decrees, marriage licenses, death certificates, divorce certificates, and much more.

Dade County marriage records are currently collected by the county clerk. Copies of every single vital record are then sent to the Office of Vital Statistics. In 1961, The Missouri Public Records Law was passed, allowing all Dade County people to access and copy public records. The law gives every inhabitant of the state the fundamental right to access all public records, whether they are held by the local or state government. A person must pay for records when applying for them in Dade County. In Dade County, a person has to pay $15 for the first copy of their desired birth record. Death record first copies in Dade County cost $13. Any further copy ordered concurrently will cost $10 extra per copy.

NOTE - Records are only granted to those who follow the rules in Dade County. A person must visit within opening hours on Monday to Friday in between 8:00 a.m.-N, 1-4:00 p.m. CST. Photo ID must also be presented if a person wants to access records in Dade County. A driver's license and a state ID are examples of acceptable photo IDs. A person must also put every last request in writing in Dade County in order to be successful.
